
If you think about how musicians use pronouns in lyrics, you may notice how (as the listener) you are learning about the musician through some indirect or direct dialog. Once you have learned about the relationship between the musician and the pronoun, you, as the listener, make assumptions about who the pronoun is, what they are like, what there personality is like, and many more details about it.
Pretend that the pronoun is actually some entity (similar to ‘It’ from Stephen King). The entity becomes tangible with the details that the musician provides you.
