Make the Meaning of Music Matter
I want my music to have an infinite amount of layers so that anyone can enjoy the tunes at the surface, or dive deep into the lyrics. In every single song I release, I subtly include references, hidden meanings, puns, jokes, and messages. I spend a lot of time crafting and structuring all of the lyrics of my songs and working with graphic designers to highlight themes, symbols, and references within the cover arts. I included the freakofmind.com/Matter section in the website to generate fun and meaningful discussion among my audience. If you listen for hidden meanings and messages in my songs you will likely discover things I intended and things I didn’t. This is exactly what I want. Everyone comes from a different context which leads to interpret things in their life a different way.
